Today is 2008 World AIDS Day, a day when individuals and organizations from around the world come together to bring attention to the global AIDS epidemic. 2008 marks the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. Since 1988 we have come a very long way, though there is still much more to be done.

Organizations and companies like H&M and ‘Designers Against Aids’ are joining together and presenting for 2008 a new collection of t-shirts and sweaters for guys and gals, designed by Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein Collection, Playboy Design, Girls from Omsk, Marc Atlan, Wayne Hemingway, Katharine Hamnett, Robert Smith (The Cure), Rogan Gregory, Chicks on Speed, Sandrina Fasoli, Miss Kittin, Percy Irausquin, Christophe Coppens and Mingface. The t-shirts and sweaters are made of organic cotton in a Fair Trade community in India with the help of German company Sense Organics.

One of our favorites is a T-Shirt was designed by Belgian Designer Sandrina Fasoli for ‘Designers Against Aids’. Proceeds of the sales will be used to help DAA to continue their international aids awareness work. This pure cotton and well fitting short sleeved t-shirt has been made sweatshop free by trendy brand American Apparel in downtown Los Angeles and has been printed sunfree in downtown Antwerp.
