Here at TheDailyStyleScout.com we have been on a fashion-craze getting prepped for the BIG Arts of Fashion event just less then a week away and anticipating the industries best, we’ve become obsessed with origami detailing. Ever since Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough (the designers behind Proenza Schouler) delivered a distinguished fall collection inspired by paper planes, the thought of wearing something architecturally sound has been a fashion breakthrough and statement even with fashion designers Maison Martin Margiela and Sandra Backlund. Designers high and low have followed suit and the outcomes have been nothing short of marvelous. The precise, bold angles we’re seeing have enough of a visual impact on their own to not require heavy accessorizing, which can make getting dressed more easy with less to think about. Free-flowing shape designs have a whimsical feeling that harks back to the ‘60s, but still manages to look totally in the NOW! Detail, Detail, Detail is very origami and is an ideal dress form for day that can easily translate to evening with a quick change of heels. For a more body-conscious silhouette, we like this ruched front skirt from Vanessa Bruno. All it requires is a basic form-fitting tee or a loose tank, both to be worn tucked in.
